THE FOUNDATION

about us

At the core of our business philosophy are innovation, expertise, and quality. We are committed to staying at the forefront of technology and view our profession as a calling. Our objective is to create value for our clients, for society, and for the future.

In today's globalized, digitalized, and increasingly challenging environment, we recognize the growing opportunities for engineering services. We view these challenges as opportunities to exceed expectations and set new standards of excellence.

OUR VALUES

what we are passionate about

  • We are committed to climate protection. This encompasses not only pioneering design concepts but also our everyday operations. Our office building is carbon neutral. We are part of the Climate City contract in Aachen, and the majority of our company vehicles are electric.

Furthermore, we are mindful that each of us can play a role in a climate-friendly future through incremental actions.

  • Participating in sports is an enjoyable and beneficial activity for both physical and mental health. It provides an optimal balance between physical activity and relaxation.

We are proud to offer our team members the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports, and we also support those who motivate and train us every day.

We are proud sponsors of our Aachen Volleyball Ladies in Black and the track and field athletes of the DLC Aachen. Of course, our sporting heart also beats for football. Therefore, we are happy to be part of SV Eilendorf, Arminia Eilendorf and Eintracht Kornelimünster.

  • Digitization is the driving force behind increased efficiency, process optimization, and innovative design. We are committed to staying at the forefront of technology and integrating the latest advances into our processes and planning concepts.

  • Our work is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on a daily basis. The SDGs address all relevant dimensions (economic, environmental, social) and levels (national, regional, and local).

HISTORY

more than 20 years DSTR

DSTR was established in 1999 in Aachen, Germany, and has been operating as DSTR Planungsgesellschaft für technische Gebäudeausrüstung mbH since 2001 under the leadership of current managing partners Thomas Riemer and Jürgen Thamm.

In 2003, the company expanded by renting its first office building in the center of Aachen.

Ten years later, in 2013, DSTR relocated to its current, climate-neutral building in Aachen. In 2019, an expansion of the existing building was required, and this was achieved by adding another 20 workstations and a large meeting room.

The DSTR group currently comprises more than 60 team members, and we are proud to have built everything on our own. We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has supported us along the way.
