Public indoor swimming pool Herzogenrath

A new indoor swimming pool is being built on the former Grenzwacht Pannesheide sports ground in Herzogenrath. In addition to a competition pool, there will also be a special multi-purpose pool and a toddlers' pool.The multi-purpose pool has a sloping floor and full lanes in two directions, making it very suitable for swimming lessons.

Thanks to a wellness area with waterfall showers and a whirlpool bench, the pool is more than just a teaching pool and can also be used for relaxation and recreation.

From an energetic point of view, the pool is supplied exclusively by heat pumps. The electrical supply is provided by a PV system and green electricity. In operation, the building is the first CO2-neutral indoor swimming pool.
