TÜV Rheinland Automotive Component Testing GmbH

In August 2023, the project, TÜV Rheinland Automotive Component Testing GmbH, the construction of a battery test building, was handed over to the client with the completion of LPH 8. We provided supervision for a total of three construction phases. The initial construction phase entailed converting the former factory building into a traction battery test laboratory.

The second construction phase entailed the erection of a new test laboratory with a shaker hall. The new building comprises test rooms for abuse tests on vehicle batteries (BAC) as well as technical rooms in solid reinforced concrete construction with heights of up to 10m. The design was planned to be pressure-tight and includes exhaust and flue gas scrubbing facilities.

Furthermore, a Battery Abuse Center with an air scrubbing system was constructed in construction phase 3.
